The Classis of Passaic Valley
will meet tonight (D.V.) at Athenia Reformed Church in Clifton, NJ at 5:30 PM. Don't forget! (Though, since our agenda is about money, sex, and Roman Catholicism, turnout will probably be high...)
Good to hear from you! The three main issues, as I saw them going to our last CLassis meeting, was the presentation of our minimum salary and benefits, the coming to our area of the "homosexual dialog" -- that is, "What could God have meant in saying homosexual acts are sin?", and one of our pastors died about two years ago and joined the Roman Catholic Church right before he died. At the time it happened, there were some who wanted him defrocked post-mortem, which, thankfully did not happen -- if God allows us both to be at BOT, and you're interested, I will explain the story as I know it. What did happen was our executive committee was asked to examine the effect of joining the Roman Catholic Church on the ordination of a person in the reformed Chruch in America. After two years, they reported back that joining the Roman Catholic Church has no effect on the ordination of a person in the Reformed Church in America. (Just as an aside: is it a dialog when one side of an issue meets together and agrees with itself and the other side does the same?)

Sex, money and the RC, what are you discussing some new dialog for the RCA?
