Review: "Dinosaurs: Marvels of God's Design -- the Science of the Biblical Account"

I wish I had had Dr. Tim Clarey’s Dinosaurs:  Marvels of God’s Creation – the Science of the Biblical Account when I was going through the public school system!  It would have been a tremendous help as I sat in class being taught the “facts” of evolution.

Dr. Clarey is an educated geologist who has taught the subject and worked in the field.  He is a young-earth Creationist and seeks to show in this book that the scientific evidence supports a young-earth Creationist position.

This hardcover book is filled with pictures and charts which bring his writing alive.  His work is comprehensive – siting studies and digs – but it is not overwhelming and could be used by someone beginning in the public school system – or as a text for homeschoolers.

Dr. Clarey explains the evolutionary viewpoint, but does not resort to name-calling and demeaning language, as many anti-Creationist are want to.

Dr. Clary begins with Noah’s Flood and what the science tells us about the age of dinosaurs and how fossils are made.  He looks at all the types of dinosaurs – showing their sudden appearance and exit from the scene.

At the end of the book, he encourages those who would seek their own fossils, and then tells the story of the life and extinction of the dinosaurs within the young-earth Creationist understanding of the Scripture.

This is a well-researched, well-argued, fair, and compelling look at the dinosaurs from a biblical viewpoint.  I highly recommend it.
