As Inspector Alleyn finishes
a cruise, he meets a woman his mother thinks might be his match – an artist
who lives down the street from her and rents out portions of her house
to students she teaches to paint well.
Alleyn goes to visit his mother and is called down to the
artist’s home because the model, Sonia Gluck, who was portraying a woman who
had been tackled and stabbed in the heart through her back is murdered in just
this way.
Who did it?
Obviously the scroungy Garcia who is always hitting on girls and
borrowing money. Or did he?
Artists in Crime is number six in the Inspector Alleyn series, and the one I
have enjoyed the most thus far. On to
volume seven!
