Puritan Wisdom

On Hebrews 2:1 – “He that shall consider the brutish stupidity and blindness of the generality of mankind in all things to God, the miserable fluctuating and endless uncertainties of the more inquiring part of them, and with all the greatness of their concernments in being brought unto the knowledge of the truth, cannot but in some measure, see the greatness of this love of Christ in revealing unto us the whole counsel of God”  – John Owen, Epistle to the Hebrews, volume 3, 270.
